The Emory chapter of Synapse is currently seeking applicants for several executive board positions.The mission
of Synapse is to provide individuals who are living with brain injury the
opportunity to connect with and learn from one another in order to improve
their access to resources.
Synapse also aims to provide students with
opportunities to serve as community leaders while learning about the patient
perspective of living with a brain injury. They hope to accomplish these goals
through three core events: peer support groups, a structured buddy program,
and planned faculty lectures. Through these staple events they hope to foster a
network of patients, students, faculty, and physicians to spread awareness of
the resources and needs of those living with brain injury as well as their
overall well-being.
This is a great opportunity for pre-health students to gain meaningful leadership and service experience!
