Interested in studying abroad? Check out the Summer program hosted by the International Center for Development Studies (ICDS), "Spanish and Health in Latin America". This 6-week program gives students the perfect balance of cultural immersion, academic and language instruction, and service learning opportunities.
Observational Clinical Rotations are available for advanced Spanish speakers, while beginning/intermediate Spanish speakers will have the opportunity to participate in community work related to social welfare services.Students will live with Costa Rican families, which strengthens the Spanish instruction included in this program. Moreover, they will have time to travel and explore the country, getting to know Costa Ricans and the local Central American cultures.
