Literacy Action needs volunteers for their
Success Center! Literacy Action relies upon the commitment of volunteers to help them meet their mission of empowering undereducated adults to reach their highest
potential. Volunteers at Literacy Action provide that extra support to push the
organization and the students forward.
Literacy Action Success Center volunteers will provide basic support
to students while they are working independently on the Aztec Learning
System software. Examples include troubleshooting basic problems, like
connecting to the internet, connecting computer equipment for student
use, etc. Through such support, volunteers will have the opportunity to
create a welcoming environment in the lab to foster learning, support
students and empower students to reach their goals.
One volunteer is needed per session. Each volunteer will choose one session on one day that they will attend each week. Volunteers will need to commit one semester.
