Georgia Department of Public Health Worksite Wellness Internship

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking qualified candidates for the Worksite Wellness Internship. This intern position is 20 - 40 hours/week or less (part-time) for a period of Winter/Spring/Summer semester. The intern position can be used to satisfy college credit or practicum hours. 

Worksite Wellness Program Goals:
  • Provide programs and preventive services to employees that prevent disease, injury, and disability by advocating for and promoting health, leading change in health policies and systems, and enabling healthy choices. 
  • Increase participation in DPH Worksite Wellness programs by educating not only DPH employees, but all State of Georgia employees about health and well-being.
The intern will assist the Worksite Wellness team (program manager, specialist, fitness center manager, fitness center specialist) in promotion of Worksite Wellness programs. The intern will contribute to the planning of activities and programs and will deliver or assist in the facilitation of well-being educational activities. Administrative and day-to-day functions of the program include: communicating internally to DPH employees, health promotion activities, organization and filing.
