Clinical Research Opportunity with the Grady Trauma Clinic and Emory Nursing

Are you interested in gaining clinical research experience? The Grady Trauma Clinic and Emory School of Nursing are conducting a study focusing on health education and mobile technology. They are looking for volunteer research assistants to join the team.

This is a great opportunity to gain research experience and experience working with patients in a clinical setting. They are conducting an RCT to evaluate whether a mobile health application reduces risk of developing infections after surgery.

What would you do?
You would go to Grady and enroll patients in the study. This would involve conducting a brief interview with patients, obtaining informed consent, and asking them about medications they take. You will be trained before beginning enrollment. Prior research or healthcare experience desired, but not required.

What is the commitment?
3-4 hours per week (more available if desired) throughout the semester (option to stay in in summer). Clinic is open Monday-Thursday from 1:00-4:00pm. You can choose which day you attend clinic.

To apply: Send your resume/CV to Robert Blenis (robert.blenis@emoryhealthcare.org).
