Interested in emergency medicine, humanitarian relief work, wilderness
medicine, or global health? Explore the great outdoors and learn
from physicians who work around the world through the University of Colorado School of
Medicine's Emergency & Wilderness Medicine class. The Winter class takes place January 2-13, 2018.
Taught by Colorado' s Medical School faculty and
physicians, this course offers:
· Med school labs
·
ER shadowing
· CPR certification
· EMS ride-alongs
· Med school campus tour
· Optional academic credit
· Wilderness First Responder Certification
· Health profession talks from docs, nurses, PAs,
and admission directors,
· Rocky Mountain camp experience (hike, snowshoe, sled,
snowcaves, etc.)
Space is limited so early registration
is recommended. The deadline to apply for need-based scholarships and early bird discounts is October 31, 2017.
