Kuchnir Dermatology Bridge Year Program

Interested in taking a gap year? The Kuchnir Dermatology Bridge Year Program is an excellent clinical experience perfect for those interested in pursuing an interactive, patient-oriented gap year for 14- or 26-months before medical school matriculation! Kuchnir Dermatology is looking for highly energetic students passionate about patient care with an aspiration to become a well-rounded physician. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the life-long learning that is required once matriculating to medical school.

Students in the program learn about Dermatology by scribing for physicians, coordinating patient care, and attending educational events. This unique opportunity allows students to develop strong interpersonal skills with patients along with a solid foundation of the healthcare system, especially the intricacies of administrative work that go into achieving high-quality patient care. The program offers positions in the Boston area along with a few opportunities out-of-state. 

Please note that the time commitment is from June 2018 – July 2019 or July 2020 depending on the desire to complete one or two gap years. Please also note that you must have a valid driver’s license and a car, as all clinics are not accessible by public transportation.
