Locations in both Colorado and Costa Rica. This class offers CPR and Wilderness First Responder certifications, lectures from School of Medicine faculty, labs (cow heart dissection, ultrasound, suturing, etc.), EMS ride alongs, ER shadowing, and real-world wilderness experiences (backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing or kayaking, etc.) as well as a "backstage" pass to the world of medicine from the physicians and faculty. Scholarships covering 100% of tuition and fees are available.
